Tom Bufton was born and raised in Poole, in the South of England. Having taken a keen interest in music from a young age Tom pursued his passion throughout his educational career and graduated with an Honours Degree from Durham University. Tom decided to move to Canada in 2016 and is currently based in Toronto.

Tom’s interest in composing started very early on and he has been writing and arranging music from the age of 10. His influences and interests come from a wide variety of sources as he was taught to appreciate and pursues music of all genres. He uses his skills to forge a unique style of compositions.

As a musician Tom predominantly plays the piano, saxophone, clarinet and flute and has been part of many different groups including orchestras, concert bands, jazz bands, quartets and pit bands. This wide variety of experience has allowed him to further develop and improve his aptitude for writing music.

Tom is good friends with members of the Voice UK finalists Belle Voci and has collaborated with them on multiple occasions using his compositional skills to aid their performances and recordings.
